About Us
Format 1 is an independent non-for-profit association. Its objective is organization of scholarly meetings, exhibition presentations and discussions, which critically reflect on the events within czech as well as foreign contemporary photography. The key element of Format 1 is the output, an online database of original writings, visual materials and discussion recordings.
Members of Format 1 are photographers, artists, curators and theorists.
Hynek Alt, Aleksandra Vajd, Alena Kotzmannová, Edith Jeřábková, Pavel Vančát, David Korecký.
Format 1 was established in 2007. Its is ran by open network of people, therefore contact us in case you are interested to take an active role in selecting the discussion topics or in preparing the exhibition presentations.

The events are free of admission. You can visit Format 1 within the opening hours of Langhans Gallery Prague, daily except mondays: 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. The admission within an exhibition in the Langhans Gallery is 60 Kc, discounted 30 Kc.
